Grundfos Pumps in Edmonton — Supply, Service and Repair Across Alberta

Alberta Rewind & Pump Services supplies Grundfos pumps and parts from Edmonton and repairs the ones already running: CR multistage pumps, MAGNA3 and ALPHA circulators, SP submersible well pumps, SL and SEG wastewater pumps and Hydro MPC booster systems. We have been a family-owned motor and pump shop since 1976, with a 15,000 square foot service centre in south Edmonton, branches in Lloydminster, Provost and Red Deer, and a 24-hour emergency line at 780-468-7175.

Grundfos pumps we supply

We quote and supply the Grundfos range used in commercial buildings, municipal systems, industry and rural water — new pumps, replacement pumps and genuine parts.

  • CR, CRE, CRI and CRN vertical multistage pumps — pressure boosting, boiler feed, industrial wash systems and reverse osmosis; stainless wetted parts, with the E models carrying an integrated variable-speed motor.

  • MAGNA3 and ALPHA2 circulators — hydronic heating and cooling and domestic hot-water recirculation. Grundfos rates MAGNA3 at up to 75% less energy than a typical circulator.

  • SCALA2 — the all-in-one self-priming booster for acreages and small commercial buildings that need constant pressure from a single compact unit.

  • SP submersible well pumps — all-stainless groundwater pumps for wells, irrigation, groundwater lowering and pressure boosting.

  • SL submersible wastewater pumps and SEG grinder pumps — lift stations, pressure sewer systems and commercial sewage handling.

  • Hydro MPC booster systems — pre-piped, pre-wired and factory-tested multi-pump packages with variable-speed control for hi-rise and campus water supply.

Who buys Grundfos from Alberta Rewind

Our Grundfos customers are the people responsible for keeping water moving: mechanical contractors fitting hi-rise boosters and MAGNA3 circulators, hospital and school building operators, towns running SP well fields and SL or SEG lift stations, acreage owners on a well, and industrial plants with CR pumps on process and wash-down duty. Because we also sell and repair the electric motors that drive pumps, one call covers the pump, the motor and the controls.

Grundfos pump repair in Edmonton

We rebuild Grundfos pumps in our Edmonton shop and, where it makes sense, on site: CR chamber-stack and cartridge shaft-seal replacement, bearing and coupling work, SP motor and cable service, SL and SEG impeller and cutter replacement, and motor rewinds and rebuilds for the larger units. Every repair is tested before it leaves — the shop has a temperature-controlled burn-out oven, VPI dip tank, electronic balancing equipment and complete testing capability.

We will tell you when a repair is not worth it. Small wet-rotor circulators are usually cheaper to replace than to open up; CR multistage pumps and SP well pumps are usually worth repairing, and often only need a seal or a chamber stack. If your pump is still inside its Grundfos warranty period, call us before anyone touches it — we will tell you whether a claim applies and how to proceed.

Upgrading to MAGNA3 or a Hydro MPC booster

Swapping a fixed-speed circulator for a MAGNA3 is the most common energy upgrade we see in Edmonton mechanical rooms, and a Hydro MPC package replaces a bank of ageing boosters with one controlled, pre-tested skid. Alberta Rewind sells pump packages as well as individual pumps, and our team will size the replacement to the actual system — flow, head, glycol content and control strategy — rather than matching the old nameplate.

Field service for Grundfos systems across Western Canada

Our fully equipped service vehicles cover all of Western Canada and the Northwest Territories. For Grundfos installations that means installation and removal, laser alignment on base-mounted end-suction pumps, vibration analysis and trending, on-site repairs at lift stations and well sites, and preventative maintenance programs that catch a failing seal before it takes a building offline.

Grundfos questions we get asked.

Is Alberta Rewind a Grundfos dealer in Edmonton?

We supply Grundfos pumps and parts from Edmonton, Lloydminster, Provost and Red Deer and repair Grundfos pumps in our shop and in the field.

Can a Grundfos CR pump be repaired, or should it be replaced?

Most CR pumps are worth repairing. The usual failures are the cartridge shaft seal and worn chamber stacks, both of which we replace in the Edmonton shop; the motor can be rewound if it has failed. We recommend replacement when the pump is badly undersized or oversized for the system, or when repair cost approaches the price of a new unit.

How quickly can you look at a failed Grundfos pump?

Emergency work goes through the 24-hour line at 780-468-7175. For scheduled repairs we inspect the pump, quote the work and confirm the lead time on any parts before we proceed.
